Do you have a physical shop I can visit?
No. Locksmith Emergency is a fully mobile service. Our technicians dispatch directly to your home, car, or business. There is no walk-in storefront.
What ID will I need to show for a lockout?
For home lockouts: a driver's license, utility bill, lease, or other document matching the address. For car lockouts: vehicle registration or title. For commercial: business license or authorization from property management. This protects you and ensures we only service authorized customers.
How is pricing determined?
The technician reviews the job on-site and quotes the price before starting. Pricing depends on lock type, vehicle make/model, service type, time of day, and location. Typical ranges: residential lockout $85-$175, car lockout $95-$195, rekeying $45-$90 per lock.
Can you make a car key without the original?
Yes, for most vehicles. We cut replacement keys by code using the VIN and program the transponder or fob to match. Proof of vehicle ownership (registration or title) is required before programming begins.

How long does it take to get a technician to my location?

Can you open a door without damaging the lock?
In most cases, yes. Standard residential and commercial locks can be opened non-destructively. The technician will assess the situation on arrival and advise if any method carries a risk of hardware damage before starting.
Do you rekey locks after moving into a new home?
Yes. Rekeying after moving is one of the most common requests we receive. We repin the existing lock cylinder so previous keys no longer work. It's faster and less expensive than replacing the hardware.
Do you install or service smart locks?
Yes. We install Schlage Encode, Kwikset SmartCode, August, and several other compatible smart lock platforms. Call to confirm compatibility with your door prep and deadbolt bore.
