Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 30, 2026. These terms govern the use of Locksmith Emergency services.

1. Agreement to Terms

By contacting or requesting services from Locksmith Emergency ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not request or use our services.

2. Services Provided

Locksmith Emergency provides mobile locksmith services including residential lockouts, automotive lockouts, commercial lockouts, lock rekeying, deadbolt installation, key cutting, and transponder key programming. All services are performed on-site at the customer's location within our South Bay service area.

3. Quotes and Pricing

All prices are quoted by the technician on-site before work begins. Quotes are based on lock type, vehicle make and model, job complexity, service type, time of day, and location. Quoted prices are binding once accepted. After-hours services and specialty hardware may carry additional charges, which will be disclosed in the on-site quote.

4. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of service. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. No payment is collected before a service quote is provided and accepted by the customer.

5. service follow-up review

Locksmith Emergency provides a 90-day service follow-up review on labor for lock rekeying, deadbolt installation, and smart lock installation. This service follow-up covers defects in our installation work only, not hardware manufacturer defects or damage caused by misuse. Key cutting and automotive programming are not covered by this service follow-up due to their consumable nature.

6. Customer Responsibilities and Authorization

Customers must have lawful authority and authorization to access the property or vehicle for which service is requested. Before security-sensitive work begins, customers may be required to provide proof of ownership, residency, vehicle registration, or business authorization along with valid government-issued ID. We reserve the right to refuse service if satisfactory authorization cannot be provided.

7. Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, Locksmith Emergency shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

8. Emergency and After-Hours Service

Service is available Monday through Sunday, 7am to 11pm. Requests outside of posted hours cannot be accommodated. We do not confirmation arrival times.

9. Cancellation

You may cancel a service call at any time before the technician arrives at your location at no charge. If the technician has already arrived and work has not begun, a trip fee may apply at the technician's discretion.

10. Photography and Documentation

Our technicians may photograph the lock, door, or vehicle before and after service for quality assurance and insurance documentation purposes. No photos are shared publicly or with third parties without your consent.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes shall be resolved in Santa Clara County, California. You agree to attempt informal resolution before initiating any formal proceedings.
